Project summary

The V4 String Quartet, formed in 2021 by the most outstanding musicians from the V4 countries will embark on a residency including concerts, master classes, and workshops in Hungary and Romania with the aim of showcasing Hungarian folk music's influence on classical composers' works. Additionally, the quartet is strengthening connections with partner festivals in Belgium and Sweden by organising online meetings to plan future performances and introduce the quartet to local media experts, festival organisers, and composers. The initiative will raise the quartet's profile on an international level and make art accessible to all layers of society. It prioritises the inclusion of young audiences and emerging musicians along with the goal to spread the culture of the V4 countries across Europe.
