EFFEA Platform Members

Sweden Festivals was founded in 1984 and is a national membership organisation representing Swedish cultural festivals.

The organisation works to strengthen the position of festivals as an artistic expression and as a vehicle for cultural development, regardless of artistic genre. Sweden Festivals acts as a partner and knowledge-sharing platform for its members, promoting the exchange of ideas among festival organisers and providing support and advice on funding opportunities.

Sweden Festivals organises professional development activities, conferences, seminars, and meetings, and represents Swedish festivals in international contexts, including the European Festivals Association (EFA), a network with members in more than 40 countries.

It serves as a platform for in-depth exchange of experiences and inspiration, creating opportunities to broaden perspectives and develop new collaborations.

Sweden Festivals is a community for festivals, connecting and supporting the sector under the light of the Northern Lights.
