The Development Centre “Democracy through Culture” is a civil society, non-profit, non-governmental organisation operating in accordance with its statutes.
It was founded in 2001 as an analytical and experimental centre (a think-and-do tank) by a group of researchers, experts, cultural and communication practitioners, and public activists.
Over the past decade, the Centre has successfully implemented a wide range of projects at international, national, and local levels, including Model 21, Intercultural Cities, Breaking Down Stereotypes, COMUS, Cultural Development Indicators, Compendium, and others.
