Project summary

Bulgarian design artist Andrea Popyordanova will be in Kraków, a UNESCO City of Literature, to take part in the 15th edition of the Miłosz Festival. Her stay in Kraków provides the occasion for a collaborative project that brings together poetry and design, developed in dialogue with the renowned local poet Agata Puwalska, recipient of the Kraków UNESCO City of Literature Award. As part of the Miłosz Festival, the artist will be granted a creative space and an artistic residency at the Design Pharmacy, an interdisciplinary creative hub located in Kraków’s creative quarter, Wesoła (www.aptekadesignu.pl/en), where she will also lead a workshop. The outcomes of this collaborative work will later be presented at partner festivals in Bulgaria and Romania.
