Project summary

In Takuya Fujisawa's new performance art, common sense is turned inside out. The performance art, with dance as its foundation, has its own strange atmosphere and aesthetics, and uses a Japanese technique called Mitate which is about shifting perspective. The ensemble of dancers evokes form and figure using objects and materials. From the shadows emerges something not existing but nevertheless highly present and real. The sense of common sense exists in all of us and in most contexts. Many people experience stress when their common sense is not understood or contradicted by others. The title of the work is an invitation to look beyond what is seemingly being negotiated around a table. Everything is united in the same shroud and at the same time stripped down – “Come wander with me”
