Project summary

An artistic investigation into politics as spectacle. The Spectacle Society travels across Europe to collect memories, imaginaries and testimonies on how media, power and civic participation have transformed from the 1980s to today. In each residency, the artists work with citizens, young people and vulnerable communities, activating workshops, interviews and shared performative moments. The project builds an emotional and political map of contemporary Europe, turning public research into shared dramaturgical material.

Hombre Collettivo

Biography: Hombre Collettivo, founded in 2019 after training in Animateria, creates hybrid performances combining object, visual, and physical theatre to explore social and political themes. The group debuted "Casa Nostra" (2020), on Italy’s early 1990s and State–Mafia relations, touring in Italy and Montenegro. In 2023, it premiered "Alle Armi", exploring the global arms trade through toys, co-produced by Micro Macro ETS, touring Italy, India, Poland, Malaysia and Balkans. The collective received Movin’Up 2024 recognition and Rete Critica Top 20 selection, and in 2025 developed M.M.M.o.Ca for Nova Gorica–Gorizia European Capital of Culture.
