Project summary
Kasia Kadublowska (PL/DE) & Algarve Contemporary Percussion Group (PT) is a residency that unites musicians of different nationalities, genders and cultural backgrounds, aiming at discovering and empowering an emergent European female artist into a male driven sub sector of music - the world of contemporary percussion - empowered by the visions of Music Biennale Zagreb (HR) and Women Reclaiming the Arts (GR). Kadłubowska, an emergent Polish percussionist, will be joined by the DPP | Portimão Percussion Days resident artist ensemble, set to explore Kasia's solo repertory focused on free improvisation techniques, sound exploration and also exploring in co-creation both Polish and Portuguese Traditional music in an innovative way proposed by a contemporary percussion ensemble practice.
