Biography: Sabir is a collective formed in 2016 and made up of 15 improvisers from 9 Mediterranean Countries: Italy, Turkey, Malta, Spain, Algeria, France, Algeria, Greece and Tunisia.

It makes the most of common grounds to promote cultural diversity thanks to the power of improvisational theatre. The main aim of the SABIR project is to stage improvisation shows that can contribute to the promotion of intercultural dialogue, taking as a starting point the potential offered by this performing art on a cultural and artistic level. The shows tackle political, social and current issues in a spirit of understanding and dialogue between different cultures.

The title of the improvisation shows is “We Are All Sabir” and came together after the first 4 residentials of the Project, which were held in Rome (Italy), Istanbul ( Turkey), Barcelona (Spain) and Tolfa (Italy).
