Project summary
The project aims to create a web of circus and outdoor arts European festivals (from Portugal, Ireland, Spain and Italy) in which Portuguese contemporary circus artist Daniel Seabra will inspire the creation of a new show and share it with new audiences. The project proposes: - Artistic Residencies including innovation sessions on circus techniques, narratives and choreographies, open rehearsals, and networking meetings with local artist communities. - Sharing of knowledge and skills through Masterclasses on Aerials dedicated to young students and emergent artists in circus, theatre, dance, acrobatics, outdoor arts from the 4 partner countries. - Performing the contemporary circus show in the Festivals: Trengo (PT), Pitch´d (IR), Circada (ES) and Terminal (IT).

Daniel Filipe Cardoso Seabra
Biography:
Daniel Seabra is a prolific Portuguese contemporary circus performer and creator. In 2022 he was rewarded the Coliseu Ageas Young Artists Award in Portugal. His innovative artistic approach merges elements of various disciplines (aerial acrobatics, music, fine arts) into memorable shows. Since 2015 he transforms daily life events that pass unseen in the swirl of modern society into compelling stories that make audiences vibrate.
Alongside with his rich artistic activity, Daniel is also teaching in social projects and artistic schools, using the circus tools and practices for supporting the self-development of youth and adults. He has also collaborated with theatre companies around the country and has three feature films recorded.
