Project summary

Have you ever wanted to see through the eyes of someone else? Ping has. In 1975, their father Chi Wai emigrated from a Hakka village in Hong Kong to Ireland. He was 15. This was also when he began taking photos. Chi Wai has captured countless images of Ireland's wild beauty. A father’s personal artistry is explored through his child’s theatre in THERE IS AN EYE AT ME. This is their second collaboration since WHERE ARE YOU FROM? at the Abbey, Ireland's National Theatre. Four languages feature: English, Cantonese, Irish and Hakka. As time flows like water, Chi Wai's vision has started to deteriorate. Can Ping understand Chi Wai's perspective through his photos?
